COLLABOARATIVE IMPLEMNTATION AND DRIVING FINANCIAL INCLUSION IN RURAL AREAS

The programme was delivered in collaboration with the Financial Inclusion Center (FIC) and coordinated by Hamza Ibrahim Baba, National Programme Manager of GEEP. This partnership highlights the importance of multi-stakeholder collaboration in reaching underserved farming communities.

The RH-GEEP 3.0 initiative reinforces Nigeria’s commitment to financial inclusion, particularly among rural and underserved populations. By bringing financial services closer to farmers, the programme ensures that more individuals are integrated into the formal economy.

ENHANCING ACCESS TO AGRICULTURAL FINANCING

Another highlight of the programme was its focus on improving farmers’ access to structured financial services.
Through initiatives like FarmerMoni, farmers are introduced to:

* Microcredit opportunities
* Financial literacy and loan management
* Pathways to formal financial systems

This approach helps bridge the long-standing gap between rural farmers and financial institutions.
